More Time is Not the Answer

Let's be real here.
We do not need more time.
If we were to get more time, we would fill it up in the way we already are and are not using it best.
The truth is, we need to use the time we have now more wisely.

JOURNALING EXERCISE AND PROMPT
1 Journal your thoughts on what you just read.
2 How do you not use your time wisely?
3 How do you use your time wisely?
4 How can you ensure that all of your time is used wisely?
5 Do you understand that the time you are given is a gift? Therefore, make it count and choose wisely. Now, journal your thoughts.

Take some time this weekend

Take some time this weekend for you. Relax. Rejuvenate. Be good to yourself. Drink some coffee or tea. Take a long hot bath. Get your spouse or child to give you a back rub.

And, do the same with your journaling. Go to your journal for relaxing after another week of the daily grind. Find some inspirational quotes and write about them.

Take some time to read a good book.

Just, whatever you do, take some time for you. Unplug for a bit.

Enjoy!

Etc. Etc. Etc. Is it Thanksgiving already?

Sometimes I get in my own little writing world that I lose track of the absolute obvious. The date is the 16th of November. Logic states that Thanksgiving would be next week.

I just realized this. (YIKES!)

I still need to buy a turkey and all the fixin's.

I am shaking my head.

216 QTP How often do we get so caught up in our own little world that we miss the obvious?

I do not know about you, but I am going to journal about that right now.

217 QTP What can I do to increase my awareness so I don't miss the obvious?

218 QTP And, if I missed that--what else have I missed and what is coming up I do not want to miss?

Some Alone Time

I do not know about you. But, I crave alone time with my spouse. It is quality time that seals the bond between us. I cherish it deeply.

Of course I feel this way. The relationship between husband and wife mirrors our relationship with God.

Do you feel stir-crazy? Blah? Like something is missing in your life? Like something just isn't right?

Well, there is your answer. You are craving alone time with God.

Take some. Nourish your heart, mind, body, and spirit.

Giving God Time

Part of growing more loyal in your faith means giving more time to the Lord and his Word.

The more time you give to God, the more of a loyal faith you will have.

But, the first question we need to ask is:

143 QTP: How much time do you give to him every day and week?

This question is asked not to make you feel guilty or proud. Rather, it is asked because we need a baseline.

144 QTP: So, how much time do you spend with God each day?

Take that amount of time for the next five days. Make sure you do that as a minimum each day.

If you have not spent time each day, start with 15 minutes each day. Again, do this for 5 days.

Then, the next week, add another 15 minutes.

Add 15 more minutes every week until are able to spend at least two hours a day with the Lord and in his Word.

Bible study, writing, and a loyal faith

It happened yesterday.

I went online and discovered something disturbing. It was quite disturbing actually. I went and did internet searches looking for new Christian Bible Studies. I was disturbed by how few there were.

Greatly disturbed.

I even looked at several publishing houses. I did not find many. I found few.

Huh.

So, why is this the trend?

The moment I asked myself the question, I had part of the answer. I knew the answer before God even spoke to me.

I will help reverse the trend.

The moment I thought that was the moment I heard the Lord say, "Yes."

My next thought process was how I plan to write 5 books per year. So, I will write 3 historical fiction and 2 bible studies.

Oh. There is another disturbing new trend. Shorter Bible studies...

Oh. My blog will turn into a bible study book. So 3 -4 books per year.

My Book Ideas:
~ a loyal faith thru technology
~ a loyal faith thru time... finding time for faith

How?

How do we have a loyal faith to God and his Word in today's times?

Is it possible?

How much work and sacrifice will it take?

What does this even look like today?

Why make our faith a priority anyway?

These are just a few of the questions we will look at on the blog.

Writing Tips

The first tip I have about writing is this...

Write every day--without fail. You either want to really write, or not. Make the choice. Do you or don't you? If so, write every day--for at least half an hour--preferably an hour or more.

Writing is a skill. If it isn't practiced, it will become rusty and eventually, the skill will be lost.
